Tallahassee, FL – October 1, 2009  –  Taking the Florida Forestry Association to new levels is what you’d expect from a seasoned leader. But for someone who has accomplished this feat as in just a few short years, it is even more impressive.

Tony Wallace was recognized by the Florida Forestry Association recently as this year’s recipient of the Above & Beyond Leadership Award. When presenting the Award at the Assocation’s Annual Meeting in St. Augustine, Jeff Doran, Executive Vice President had this to say about Wallace: “In just a few short years Tony has helped develop and implement some of the Association’s most effective landowner outreach programs. When it came time for the Association to develop a “Greenbelt Guidance” document for Florida property appraisers and landowners, we turned to Tony. When it came to review our insurance programs to determine the best provider for our hunt club and landowner members, we turned to Tony.”  Tony Wallace is the perfect example of a young leader that our members will hear much more about,” Doran concluded.

In addition to these important accomplishments, Tony serves as Chairman of the Landowner Committee and represents the landowner segment on the Executive Committee. As a forestry professional, he works with landowners as the Chief Operating Officer of Natural Resource Planning Services in Gainesville.
