WHAT WE DO:
Project Learning Tree

Project Learning Tree LogoProject Learning Tree® (PLT) features a comprehensive environmental education curriculum for grades K-12. The program provides educators with fun, hands-on, easy-to-use lesson plans which are linked to the Florida Sunshine State Standards, and stimulate students to explore the natural world around them.

More importantly, it provides a balanced approach to current issues that has won recognition from conservation and education groups throughout the world. PLT is an international environmental education program that now reaches all 50 states and seven countries. Over the last thirty years more than 300,000 educators have been trained to use PLT materials in the classroom reaching approximately 26 million students in the United States and abroad.

Complex lesson plans that focus on forest ecology, wildlife, water, community planning, waste management and recycling issues, and energy consumption are available for high school teachers. We also reach out to the Spanish-speaking population with a student guide in Spanish.
